Story from Italy

Stereotypes are at the core of our social life, and we often do not realise how much we are influenced by them. They can be positive or negative, but surely they do not help us see clearly, and work against our curiosity to discover new realities, different from our own, as we tend to put people and new things in predefined boxes. This conversation between a woman from Palermo and a man from the Gambia is an open, sincere, and humble dialogue about some of the most common prejudices that both of their societies hold towards their cultures (prejudices for Italy in the Gambia, and those for the Gambia in Italy).
